Kara's Graduation!!!

On Friday July 22, 2011 Kara graduated from BYU-Idaho!! I won't lie I was kind of jealous because I would love to be graduating, but my time will come.  Gavin, Terri (Gavin's mom), Mariah, Bryant, and I all met up before graduation at Kara's house.  When we got there we were told that the zipper on Kara's graduation gown was broken-so before we left Gavin grabbed some duck tape and a stapler so he could do surgery on Kara's gown. Luckily, when Kara got there and told them they just gave her a new gown.  So it all worked out!! We were kind of far back and so when the graduates started marching in it was hard to see which one was her.  But we will just pretend that we see her in the video.  The music that they marched to made me think of a circus on the Merry-Go-Round.

After the first part of graduation we met up with Kara.  She looks so excited as she comes down the stairs and smiles are all around!!

I forgot to add these earlier-but this was me taking pictures of Gavin and Terri taking picture of Kara and Bryant taking picture of us.  We were waiting very patiently for the program to start.

For the second part of graduation we got to see Kara receive her diploma case-her diploma will actually be mailed to her-but hey it still looks cool!

After the second part of graduation we went out and took more pictures.

Overall the evening was really fun! After graduation we went back to Kara's apartment and had pizza and a delicious cake that had oreos on top of it!! Bryant and I are both so proud of Kara!!!

4th of July!

This year for the 4th of July we had a slam packed day! We got up kind of early-especially when we had the option to sleep in.  Our day started out going to the parade.  We weren't sure what to expect, but it was actually a really nice little parade.  I was really excited because I heard they gave out candy-what I didn't realize is that they are bias towards the children and I couldn't bring myself to fight some of the kids for the candy.  We decided to pack a little lunch and go to the park after-wards.  We met up with some families from our ward and played a game of kickball.  I had decided beforehand that I wouldn't play-but it looked so fun that I couldn't sit and watch-so I played and then payed for it the rest of the day :(  Once the game was over we decided to have hot dogs and chips with the families that were there.  So we all met up in our apartment clubhouse and spent about 2 hours eating and watching espn.  By this time I was exhausted and burnt. Ouch! We came home and waited for our friends to get into down so we could meet up with them for a cookout.  Once they got into town we packed up some food and fireworks and headed out to their place.  We had such a fun night with Talon and Celina.  Bryant and Talon had lots of fun with the fireworks! They liked trying to spell out their name with the sparklers.  They also liked to throw fireworks into the bon fire and see what would happen.

Trip to Utah to meet Elayna!

We were really excited to go to Utah and meet our new niece.  Elayna Hansen she is so cute and precious.  It was a super short trip but we were able to see some family! Bryant's mom and brother were visiting so we were able to spend the evening with them.  We were also able to visit with Elishia and Kai which was fun! On Sunday night we were able to go to a mission reunion for Bryant.  It was fun to hear Bryant speak Malagasi (butchered the spelling:) and to see him with people that he used to serve with.  Bryant was so cute with little Elayna-I have a feeling that we will be fighting over each other to hold our own baby!
